Lucien Moolenaar

Co-Founder & Director

Lucien has over 20 years’ experience advising, structuring and executing corporate finance transactions globally and has dedicated most of his career to emerging and frontier markets.

Before co-founding Emerging Crowd, Lucien spent six years in senior leadership positions at Renaissance Capital, the emerging markets investment bank. As Executive Director and Head of Legal for Africa and a member of the Africa Management Board, Lucien helped develop and execute the firm’s pan-Africa strategy and its expansion to seven locations across the continent. Prior to that, he was a Director in the Investment Banking Legal Department of Merrill Lynch in London and Johannesburg.

He is a qualified lawyer, and practiced corporate law at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York and Rogers & Wells in London. Lucien was educated at Harvard University and Fordham Law School and is a member of the New York Bar.

Will Tindall

Co-Founder & Director

Will has a broad and deep understanding of wealth management, investment management, private equity and investor relations, having held senior positions in each discipline.

He started his career at Arbuthnot Banking Group in London and then, prior to moving to Asia, he founded a strategic financial communications and investor relations company. Will has worked and lived in various capital market hubs, most notably Hong Kong, Singapore and London. Prior to co-founding Emerging Crowd, Will headed up business development and fundraising for a privately held frontier market investment and operating group, Asia Pacific Investment Partners. He led three successful global fundraising campaigns and was also instrumental in growing its property, construction materials and financial services subsidiaries.

Will is passionate about supporting and showcasing the exceptional growth-stage companies that exist in frontier and emerging markets. He is a fervent believer that technology can increase transparency and remove the perceived barriers of participating in these markets.

Will holds a number of financial services qualifications and a BSc (Hons.) in Economics & Finance from Exeter University. He has been shortlisted for various awards and is regularly quoted and interviewed across multiple media channels, including: The Financial Times, The Economist, The Guardian, The Telegraph, Forbes, BBC and CNBC.
